Live From New York: An Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live by Tom Shales and James Andrew Miller
King Missile, It's Saturday
Happy Hour (1992)
Synopsis: This is a bunch of quotes from the people involved with Saturday Night Live, including performers, producers, and executives, arranged chronologically to tell a lot of the same stories about the show and the people who make it.
Review: I have some nostalgic sentimentality for Saturday Night Live, but this book made me like it less than I have in years. Don't get me wrong, there are some classic bits (including this one, which may be my all time favorite...and this one, which made me a vegetarian...and this one, which is why I went to law school...and this one, which I show Kelly to remind her of our wedding night...and this one, which is the reason I became a Satanist), but after reading this book and watching a few reruns recently, I'm convinced that the show's longevity has more to do with inertia than creativity.
This is the part where you dare me to say that to Horatio Sanz's face.

Yeah. I agree, and I love each of those skits.
